Jessica Monroe is a storyteller, an environmental advocate, and a soul deeply connected to the world around her. With over three decades of painting experience, she knew from a young age that art was her calling. It wasn't until she became a mother, though, that her artistic focus shifted towards the captivating wildlife of South Texas. Driven by an unwavering desire to share her love for the natural world and to safeguard these sacred spaces for future generations, Jessica embarked on a dual journey as both an artist and a parent. Her art became a powerful medium through which she could inspire others to connect with and protect the environment.

Jessica's creative process is a journey of immersion. Long walks in nature centers and ranches have allowed her to learn from naturalists and gain a deep understanding of the local wildlife. With watercolors, pastels, and camera in hand, she captures the essence of delicate and endangered ecosystems. Her meditative pastel and watercolor studies are a dialogue with nature, where each brushstroke represents a conversation.
