Lark Sparrows II

In a jumble of leaves and branches and light and color sits a pair of Lark Sparrows.  They are easy to miss or mistaken for their more common cousins.  We like to separate animals to admire their individuality, but here we're invited to get lost in their environment.    It's a story of connection and integration as we admire the movement and energy of the whole working together.  

"Lark Sparrows 2/50" is a small 15" x 24" canvas framed in a Pecan floater frame.  

To create this Edition, artist Jessica Monroe started with an archival print of an original oil painting.  She then enriched the colors by building layers of paint to give the image depth. Almost every part of an edition is repainted to create a unique version of the original.
