Mama Cardinal II

On a gentle morning away from the bustle of errands and car rides, life carries on.  This busy mama bird is gathering twigs for her nest amid the early buds of baby Hackberry leaves. She's part of the spring cycle, a reminder of new life and new generations.

To create this Edition, artist Jessica Monroe started with an archival print of an original oil painting.  She then enriched the colors by building layers of paint to give the image depth. Almost every part of this edition is repainted to create a unique version of the original.  "Mama Cardinal II" comes in a black and pewter canvas floater frame.
